The monthly maintenance fee for Chalet condos is $1905. Among the services covered by the fee are landscaping, professional management and the biggie, master insurance. What is commonly called "hurricane insurance" isn't cheap and is included in your fee.

The minimum rental period in Chalet is 30 Days/1X Qtr. Investors will consider this too restrictive and look for other options on the island. Without the constant turnover of vacationers, Chalet feels more like an upscale neighborhood than a hotel.
