Marco Island Waterfront Home

Every home hunter has a good idea what kind of property they want – known simply as their dream home. The challenge is to find the closest match. Lovers of beach life and bright blue skies tend to find what they are looking for fairly easily among Marco Island property.

The reason is quite simply because Marco Island condos and single family homes are located either on the beachfront or within a few minutes’ stroll from it. Of course, the popularity of the island means that demand for these properties is high. But if you have the budget to suit, some of the most desirable luxury Marco Island homes and condos, with spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico, are within reach too. Here is a taste of what you can expect.

Beachfront Properties

Living just a few feet from a sandy white tropical beach is arguably the key reason why home hunters want to buy a Marco Island property. Thankfully, the selection of beachfront properties is considerable, so regardless of your budget, that dream can become a reality.

For example, buying a Marco Island condo that is situated on the beachfront is not difficult at all. In fact, the available condos range from 1-bedroom properties over 750 sq ft for around $200,000, to 5-bedroom penthouse properties over 7,000 sq ft with unobstructed panoramic views of the gulf for about $8 million.

For luxury Marco Island homes, the selection is narrower, but the impression left by the palatial properties is striking.

Waterfront Properties

Marco Island’s developers wanted to create an idyllic home for the type of people drawn to the aqua blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico - basically, boat owners. As a result, the vast majority of Marco Island property is located by water.

The good news is that there is a waterfront property option to suit every pocket. Marco Island condos on a canal or waterway come in all sizes and prices. You can find spacious 2-bedroom condos over 1,200 sq ft with deeded dock on the Marco River for less than $500,000, and luxury 3-bedroom properties over 3,000 sq ft overlooking Smokehouse Bay costing just under $2 million.

It’s the same for single family homes. Spacious 3-bedroom properties covering around 2,300 sq ft and boasting back-yard access to a waterway or a common dock can cost around $250,000. Meanwhile, luxury Marco Island homes facing the waters of Caxambas Bay, with 5 bedrooms and covering 11,000 sq ft can cost over $10 million. Most multi-million dollar properties have marina spaces, and offer stunning gulf or bay views.

Inland Properties

Of course, not everyone feels a need to be right by the beach, or has a boat to dock. The range of inland Marco Island property is similarly varied, but most boast manicured gardens, superb pool facilities and views of the gulf or surrounding bays. A 2-bedroom Marco Island condo over 1,000 sq ft can cost around $300,000, while condos with 3 bedrooms over 3,000 sq ft can cost around $850,000.

Whether you are a boat-lover or beach-lover, and whether you are looking for a spacious condo or a luxury Marco Island home, there is a property for you. Your dream home is within reach.
