There's also plenty of kayaking, paddleboarding, kitesurfing and windsurfing opportunites. There are numerous places to put in and a large majority of the condos and homes have water access.
One of the best places to live in Marco Island if you love to boat is what's known as the "Southend". There is an entire area on the southwest side of the island devoted to boating condos. One of the largest is known as Eagle Cay. It features 5 buildings with 126 units ranging from 2BR/2BA to 3BR/2BA. If you're looking for something more intimate, Ebb Tide only has 4 2BR/2BA units. There are also many others to choose from on Collier Ct., Panama and Huron. All include water direct access which means that the height of your boat is not restricted. Water indirect condos allow a maximum height of 14 feet so boats can pass under all bridges at high tide.
There is also an awesome park located on Colllier Ct. known as Caxambas Park. It's one of only a few areas on Marco Island that you can fuel up your boat and features both regular and diesel fuel.
