Marco Beach

Marco Beach is a heavenly spot.  The white sand, the emerald green water, the condominiums - it's really fantastic.  But what makes Marco Beach so special is not so obvious on the surface. 

This beach is not crowded.  There are no bums or hobos hanging around.  It's a comfortable place to be.  There are a few reasons underlying this bliss.  First, most condos here require that rental periods be for a minimum of 30 days.  So, MTV Spring Break will never be shot on Marco Beach.  Next, public access is severely limited.  While this fact infuriates day-trippers, it prevents a flood of weekend traffic from Naples and other nearby cities.  Third, what public access that exists is restricted further by limited parking.

All of this adds up to a very unique and upscale environment that is unique to Marco Island.  And while some of the country's most luxurious real estate is found here, it's more affordable than most people realize. Beachfront condos like Admiralty House and Tradewinds have units starting under $250,000 but you better hurry.
