Dining on Marco Island

Marco Island Restaurant on the Beach

People are often surprised when they discover the number of great restaurants available on Marco Island.  They assume because we're on a relatively small island that the selection will be limited.  Nothing could be further from the truth!  No matter what your taste may be, there's something on the island to satisfy it.  If you enjoy Italian, try Verdi's American Bistro, Arturo's Ristorante Italiano or Davide Italian Cafe.  All received great reviews on Yelp and feature classic dishes like Chicken Penne, Pasta Pomodoro and crusty bread with olive oil for dipping.  This is only the tip of the iceberg.  There are many other restaurants that feature Italian as well.

If you're more into seafood, you might like Snook Inn.  Close to numerous boating condos and one of the best stops on the island, Snook Inn features a very fresh salad bar and awesome seafood choices that you can order as an entree or sandwich, in many cases.  To top it all off, the views are out of this world.  You really feel like you've arrived in paradise when you sit back and watch the pelicans and seagulls cruise for food in the Marco River.  You might even spot a dolphin or manatee!  There are many other choices as well including Cocomo's Grill, CJ's on the Bay (another option with great views of Smokehouse Bay and the marina), Kurrent's and Captain Brien's.  Captain Brien's has a fun, nautical vibe and features Off The Hook Comedy Club.  Famous comedians stop in here on a regular basis to do stand-up for the patrons and anyone else who would like to come over for some fun.

There is such a large selection of great restaurants for such a small island, it would take you many trips here to try them all.  As I mentioned before, there are also several with amazing views and others that serve awesome breakfasts and lunches.  I will elaborate more on all of the wonderful choices available in another column soon.  In the meantime, if you have any questions about any of the restaurants I've mentioned or anything else at all about Marco Island, please contact us anytime!
