Goodland has been called, "a drinking community with a fishing problem." What else can I say? Actually, Goodland is a great place to live. The residents work tirelessly, day-in, day-out pushing the limits of the term "casual." They've actually redefined it. When Stan, a local bar owner, passed away, his casket was placed on stage during his wake/going away party. True story. There are more boats and pelicans here than people. Most homes are waterfront and offer unencumbered access to the Gulf. The restaurants here are some of the best around.
